Peruvian born, Vancouver raised and now Montreal based Bernardo Fernandez has worked as a hairdresser in salons for over 13 years. In that time he has mastered the art of managing the expectations of his clients and transfers this knowledge into the world of fashion. In 2003 he began a career in photography. He has worked in Vancouver, Montreal and London, England as a hairdresser in salons, in the film and television industry as well as working as an internationally published fashion and portrait photographer. Inspired by art, music and film he defines his work as classic with a twist of street style. He currently co-owns Salon Sweet William which has recently been mentioned in FASHION magazine as one of the best salons in Montreal.
While in Vancouver, Bernardo worked at Barbarella Hair Saloon which was the salon that worked backstage for both BC Fashion Week as well as Vancouver Fashion week. It was at that time that Bernardo started working in the film industry and worked for directors such as Kevin Haverty, Andrew C. Erin and Martin Weisz.
Since landing in Montreal, Bernardo has worked for clients such as The W Hotel and recently worked backstage for a fashion show hosted by Jeanne Beker for the Colorectal Cancer Society.
